The Great Hall and The Minstrelsí Hall were constructed in Tudor days for this very purpose, built out between two high fortified towers. They are hung with tapestries, arms and armour and both halls have two fine fire places. They respectively overlook the Courtyard and the South Lawn with its fountains and both have an atmosphere of historic grandeur.
